               Every country has some brand who represent country.
    In the world of automotive industry, there are some Big Three refers to a country's three largest automobile manufacturers. 

This is only for the Origin of the Brands not for that which company has Owned then now.

France's Big Three are

Alfa Romeo 
Fiat eventually bought the other two major brands, and formed the Fiat Group which is now part of FCA. 

Italy's Big Three can also refer to the Emilian brands 

Ferrari

Maserati

Lamborghini
in the supercars and luxury segment.
